New factory will help Tapyrus expand further into Southeast Asia region.

Tapyrus (Thailand) Co. Ltd. held an opening ceremony to celebrate the completion of its new meltblown factory on November 22. Tapyrus (Thailand) is the newly founded entity established by parent company Tapyrus Co. Ltd. of Japan, which has 38-year history in the meltblown and composite manufacturing sector. Construction of the new factory was completed in mid-October. By setting up this second site outside its home in Japan, Tapyrus is now capable of responding quicker to its customers in the area and also allows it to further its expansion into the high growth regions of Southeast Asia. Full scale commercial production is planned to start in the second quarter of 2013. Until then Tapyrus will begin shipping samples to its customers. Products manufactured by Tapyrus cover a wide range of fiber diameter from 0.5 to 30 μm, and basis weight from 7 to 400g per square meter. Materials and products are offered for a wide range of applications, such as liquid filters, air filters, medical products and automotive filters.
